07.13.2021 Portfolio Update +
“What you see depends on what you’re looking for.” - Unknown
Hello 👋 a few things before we go to portfolio updates:
1) I would like to start with, I know I said I wouldn’t have much time to post a lot of details BUT also since last post I got 2 new paid subscribers and although it’s not my focus (right now) to expend on paid subscriptions I thought that I need to add some kind of value to those two brave souls that paid for a year.
Now here is a pickle, I don’t have much time and yet need to do something extra?
So, I decided to add something something for anyone who is paid subscribers, with every week of my portfolio paid subscribers will also be able to see all option trades (profits/loss) PLUS my cost basis of all companies that I’m investing in.
Otherwise everything else still stays the same.
I will see if opening up option trades (right now I white them out) actually creates something new and interesting or just noise ( we will see ) but seeing cost basis I think SHOULD be interesting especially when I’m initiating a new position (with old positions most likely cost basis wont change much but you never know).
If you think you might be interested let me know via replying to this email, comments or via Twitter DMs and I will provide you with 1 month trial to get a feel of what it is. As I’m still not 100% sure what it will be, but will do my best to add value!
2) I signed up for Commonstock, not 100% sure what it is (I know it’s investing social media but I mean I’m still playing around in the app) but looks interesting and I was able to link my portfolio from Webull to it (finally!), so if you are on it check my page out https://commonstock.com/from100kto1m . Lets connect.
Here is the breakdown of this week’s newsletter:

P&L Snapshot + Account Details *Updated*
Please let me know what you think of this new screen shot? yay or nay? Its for the past five days profit/loss breakdown. Is this good place for it? Do you have suggestion where it would be fitted better?
Let me know, any feedback is greatly appreciated.
*I’m NOT a financial advisor and everything on this substack and these posts are of my personal opinion and this is for entertainment and educational purposes only. Please do your own research and your own due diligence.*

The only thing I have to add today is that I bought some $FGFPP (as mentioned from last week post). I think it’s good place to keep some cash and collect dividend while I keep looking out for the next great company to buy.
$FGFPP - FG Financial Group Inc Preferred Shares are low beta and pays out about 8% dividend and since it’s $FGF family it is part of Kyle Cerminara circle, I think it’s a good place to keep my $$$ while I wait as long as I can keep buying it below $24.50 and/or there is nothing else for me to put my money into that is high conviction.
Subscriber’s Question Part 1
Two weeks ago (I think) I asked if anyone has any questions or topics for me to discuss in my “next” post. The one question (well its more like a few questions in paragraph) that I really enjoyed was by @TheMoneyLemma on Twitter. He also has a newsletter www.moneylemma.com highly recommend checking it out!
He wrote via email:
Lets start with the business and hustle. I can’t talk details about my business and side hustles (for multiple reasons that I can’t really discuss in here). But what I can try to provide (or at least try my best) is the framework of how I look at things and then give an example of random field/skill and with a little imagination, I think anyone can really push their limits a little bit with real side hustle and none of that mambo jumbo that they sell via YouTube ads (although the big ideas themself could be useful!).
(The doodle below was created in less then five minutes so keep criticism to minimum please, I will also include example afterwords)
Based on the picture from above, you could take any skill/profession (assuming that you are good/great at it and you are not locked into some kind of contract and even then there are creative ways around anything and everything) and expend on it for additional income.
Now I do want to say this is just for entertainment and educational purposes!
Internet - has unlimited amount of websites that will pay you for whatever skill you have and the payments can be anything and everything: one time, recurring, donations, gifts. You can use the same videos/materials and put it on different website and 10X your payments for your time.
Real World - is less able to be multiplied by same “product” but still not impossible and can be done with addition to what you do on the web.
Investing - is just plain stuff of opening an account and depositing money to your taxable account and IRA (on weekly, bi weekly, monthly basis) to have money make money via dividend and capital gains (later on) but without your involvement.
There are also ways of using one skill with addition to another in combination and results and unlimited and only your imagination is the end.
But the biggest take I have is…you must be able to experiment and try. All my hustles came because I was willing to try and sometimes look “silly” but I learned and with more knowledge your imagination expends and you can be more creative on creating multiple incomes.
Example would be something like an Accountant (but not CPA or maybe even CPA)
If you are good at it there is no skill that can’t be monetized in 2021 and beyond!
This is just a rough example, and if you need help with creative thinking let me know and we can brainstorm something together (for free of course).
MoneyLemma made this awesome Stock Portfolio Comparison for me…
…I love it, thank you!
I guess this only answers part of the question, the rest hopefully I can do next week.
